Cybersecurity Speech: Enhancing Awareness and Dealing with Cyber Attacks
Ladies and gentlemen, greetings!
I am honored to stand here and share my thoughts on cybersecurity with you. In today’s digital age, technology has become a vital part of our lives, and we rely heavily on the internet and computer networks for communication, entertnment, business, and education. However, this dependence on technology also comes with a significant risk to our security and privacy. Cyber attacks, hacking attempts, data breaches, and identity theft are just some of the threats that we face every day.
Therefore, it is essential for us to enhance our awareness and knowledge of cybersecurity and take proactive measures to prevent and respond to cyber threats. In this speech, I would like to discuss some of the key factors that can help us stay safe online.
Firstly, we need to be aware of the common types of cyber threats and how they can affect us. Malware, phishing, ransomware, and social engineering are some of the most prevalent and dangerous cyber attacks that we need to watch out for. Malware refers to malicious software that can infect our devices and steal our data or damage our systems. Phishing is a technique that hackers use to trick us into providing personal information, such as passwords or credit card detls. Ransomware is a type of malware that encrypts our files and demands a ransom for their release. Social engineering is a manipulation tactic that hackers use to gn our trust and access sensitive information.
To protect ourselves from these threats, we need to be cautious and vigilant online. We should avoid clicking on suspicious links or downloading unknown files. We should also use strong passwords, multi-factor authentication, and keep our software updated regularly to prevent vulnerabilities.
Secondly, we need to foster a culture of cybersecurity in our workplaces and communities. Cybersecurity is not just an individual responsibility, but also a collective one. We can all contribute to building a safer and more secure online environment by sharing information, resources, and best practices. Organizations can provide cyber awareness trning to their employees, implement cybersecurity policies and procedures, and conduct regular risk assesents. Communities can organize cybersecurity events and workshops, promote cybersecurity awareness campgns, and collaborate with local authorities to report cybercrime.
Finally, we need to be prepared to respond to cyber incidents effectively. Despite our best efforts, cyber attacks can still happen. Therefore, it is crucial to have a plan and a response team in place to minimize the damage and recover quickly. A well-designed incident response plan should include the following steps: identify the incident, contn the impact, eradicate the threat, recover the data, and review and improve the response process.
In conclusion, cybersecurity is a complex and evolving field that requires ongoing attention and action. By enhancing our awareness and knowledge of cyber threats, fostering a culture of cybersecurity, and preparing to respond to cyber incidents, we can stay safe and secure online. Let us work together to create a safer digital world for ourselves and future generations. Thank you.

The electric door guard has replaced the traditional “door lady” in a dormitory at Shanghai Songjiang University City, within the range of many universities.
In the future, more electric door guards will take the place of “door ladies.”
The electric door guard operates under an IC card system, with students using IC cards to enter. Each resident student is issued an IC card with his/her personal information stored on it. Information like the card-holding student’s name, major, grade, and even time of entry will be stored on their IC card. The door has also been equipped with a “digital eye” to take video 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
With the new “door guard” already on duty, students began to discuss the pros and cons of the latest renovation to their dorm in community forums.
Some complained that having to take their IC card everywhere is inconvenient, adding that the system is not always reliable. They noted times when the system failed to recognize them and they had to call repair workers to fix it.
Others say the former “door lady” was more flexible and gave them a sense of “home.” Sometimes when a student had to stay out late, to study or for other business, the door lady would wait for them and let them in if they told her beforehand. Or when students’ parents came to visit, the door lady would let them in. But now, all of these conveniences seem impossible.
Still, students admit that the electric door guard is much safer, as it prevents thieves as well as unwelcome saleen from entering their dorm. In this way, the electric door guard has its own advantages.
The school’激则耐s authorities say the new system needs some time to improve and that students need time to get used to it. The school has said it will consider the inconveniences brought along with the new door guard and attempt to solve them by other means. On the whole, the new system seems to be good for students living in the dorm building.

Nearly every day, there are reports to the security office on campus that valuable things are stolen away. A surrounding with stealing and mugging can’t be worse for studying. In such cases, what measures should be taken to improve the campus security?

Besides, a proper amount of security guards should be arranged to patrol the campus.

In my opinion, campus security will be improved as long as efforts are made on campus. Therefore, colleges and universities should try their best to make everyone on campus safe and sound。

There is no denying that safety plays an important part in our daily life. Recently our school has carried out a program aiming at increasing our safety awareness.
I consider this as indeed a good practice, which will remind us that safety should always come first in our daily life, whether when we stay at school or outside it. For example, when we are doing sports, we should attach great importance to safety and avoid being hurt. Besides, we should follow the traffic rules when we are going to school or when we are on our way back home.
I firmly believe that we should develop a good sense of safety and do everything safely.

As the number of internet users continues to grow worldwide,internet safety is a growing concern for both children and s. The internet safety, or online safety, is the knowledge of maximizing the user’s personal safety and security risks on private information and property associated with using the internet, and the self-protection from computer crime in general.
To begin with, we have to take the information security into consideration. As we all know, sensitive information such as personal information and identity, passwords are often associated with personal property (for example, bank accounts) and privacy and may present security concerns if leaked. Unauthorized access and usage of private information may result in consequence such as identity theft, as well as theft of property.
What’s more, the personal safety cannot be ignored. The growth of the internet gave rise to many important services accessible to anyone with a connection. One of these important services is digital communication. While this service allowed us to communicate with others through the internet, this also allowed the communication with malicious users. While malicious users often use the internet for personal gain, this may not be limited to financial/material gain. This is especially a concern to parents and children, as children are often targets of these malicious users.
How can we deal with the problems in the Internet safety? Actually, we have several preventions. First, keeping shared information at a minimum and safe passwords and PINs are useful. Moreover, we’d better strengthen our Social network websites and security software.
Through the use of antivirus software, the user can automatically detect, prevent and remove computer viruses and various types of malware. Very often it is impossible for the user alone to identify infected files and software until it is too late, especially if the infected file or software is well disguised as legitimate files. Because of this, it is important that the user keeps antivirus software running on the computer whenever accessing the internet so that the user can filter and block infected files and firewalls.
